Its main objective is to reduce the number of items based on the original ones in the adapted version of the scale. Therefore, in the first step of the study, the psychometric properties of the scale are tested with the use of exploratory factor analysis based on principal components analysis on the sample of 211 participants. In the results of the factor analysis it was found that Short Version of Resilience Scale consisted of 10 items and the factor loadings of these items changed from .65 to .85 and the short form was accounted for 58,38 of total variance. For criterion related validity of the short form, Positive and Negative Affect Scale and Beck Depression Inventory were used and in the results, there was a positive significant relation between scores gained from Resilience Scale Short form and from Positive Emotion Scale and negative significant relation between scores from short form and from Negative Emotion Scale and Beck Depression Inventory. As another evidence to ensure the validity of the short form, discriminant validity was adequately demonstrated by comparing the upper and lower groups for the validation of test items. In the second step of the study, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted and the construct structure found in exploratory factor analysis was confirmed. In the examination of the fit indexes, the scale was found to have a good fit index. Having one factor structure, the scale has .91 internal consistency and test-retest reliability was found as .83.
