THE INTERMEDIARY ROLE OF THE POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL IN THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE LEADER-MEMBER INTERACTION AND THE ORGANIZATIONAL IDENTIFICATION


The importance of human factor in current conditions which is the indispensable in the lives of organizations, is increasing day by day. The managerial understanding of the managers of the company affects the attitudes and behaviors of the employees and determines the relationship with the organization. The positive or negative direction of this relationship is very important in today's economy where competition is intense. The employees who are affiliated and identified with their institutions share their psychological capital with their organizations, but the employees who cannot provide this affiliation take silence and perform routine behavior. This circumstance will also affect the internal entrepreneurship of employees, and the most important share in this circumstance is the relationship of the leader and his/her followers. The relationship between the leader and his/her subordinates and the fair or different attitudes in this relationship generates the basis of this process. The aim of this study based on this thought is to investigate whether the positive psychological capital has an intermediary role in the relationship of the leader member interaction and organizational identification applied in organizations. The scope of the study consists of 326 employees in the iron-steel sector in an enterprise operating. The data in this study have been obtained by using the survey technique and these data have been analyzed for the main problematic analysis of this study. Correlation and multiple regression analyzes have been performed for the direct and indirect effects of the variables, and the Sobel Test has been used to determine the intermediary effect. According to the results, it has been determined that the leader-member interaction and positive psychological capital significantly and positively affected the organizational identification of employees. Furthermore, it has been concluded that positive psychological capital has a partial intermediary effect on the relationship of leader-member interaction with organizational identification.
