INVESTIGETION OF THE STUDIES RELATED TO THE TOURISM SEKTOR UNDER THE BLACK SEA ECONOMIC COOPERATION


End of the 80’s, there has been a very convenient stage for an economic cooperation between Turkey and the countries that border the Blacksea, along with the rapid change process in Eastern Europe countries and Soviet Union. In this situation, eleven countries, with the thought of territorial integration have come together. The Heads of State and Government of eleven countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine signed in Istanbul the Summit Declaration and the Bosphorus Statement founded the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in 1992 The size of transnational trade relations also positively affects the development of tourism. The BSEC is highly effective in the rapid development of economic activities among neighboring countries. Geographical proximity of the countries in the region, economic and mutual social relations are important in the formation of cooperation and development of relations. The cultural affinity between the member countries contributes to the economic, cultural and social development in the region. Black Sea Region countries have rich resources in terms of agriculture, energy, natural resources, natural physical properties and cultural values. Especially the natural physical characteristics and cultural values of the region allow the development of the tourism sector. The development of tourism in the countries of the region is important in ensuring regional development. In this study, the importance of international organizations in establishing warm relations with neighboring countries was emphasized and the place of tourism in these hot relations was revealed. Since the establishment of the BSEC, the meetings of the BSEC as of the time of its establishment were examined in order to reveal the decisions taken for tourism and the tourism targets.
